Proficiency in the following areas is essential: * **Helping:** A willingness to assist colleagues and passengers, demonstrating teamwork and a customer-centric approach. * **Baggage Handling Systems Operation:** Understanding and operating baggage handling systems, including conveyor belts, tugs, and other related equipment. * **Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Operation:** Safe and efficient operation of various GSE, including pushback tugs, belt loaders, and de-icing equipment. * **Load Planning and Weight & Balance:** Basic understanding of aircraft weight and balance principles and their impact on safe flight operations. * **Airport Security Procedures:** Adherence to strict airport security protocols, ensuring the safety and security of passengers, aircraft, and cargo. * **Cargo Handling Procedures:** Proper handling and loading of cargo, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and airline procedures. **Roles and Responsibilities:** * Marshaling aircraft to and from the gate using standardized hand signals. * Loading and unloading baggage, cargo, and mail onto and off aircraft. * Operating ground support equipment, such as pushback tugs and belt loaders. * Guiding aircraft during pushback and taxiing operations. * Performing visual inspections of aircraft for damage or irregularities. * Communicating effectively with flight crew, ground crew, and other personnel. * Adhering to strict safety and security procedures at all times. * Maintaining a clean and organized work area on the ramp. * Completing necessary documentation related to ground handling operations. * Assisting passengers with special needs or requirements. * Working in all weather conditions and maintaining a professional demeanor.
