Technical Project Manager

A Software Developer Project Manager in a FASTag company leads technical teams to build and maintain electronic toll collection systems, mobile wallets, and payment gateway integrations. Job Description: Software Developer Project Manager Position Over view We need a Software Developer Project Manager to lead our engineering team. You will build and scale our FASTag and toll-payment processing platforms. You will manage software projects from start to finish while writing or reviewing core code and system designs. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Delivery Plan roadmaps: Define project scope, set realistic timelines, and manage budgets for toll-processing software upgrades. Run Agile sprints: Lead daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives using Scrum or Kanban. Manage risks: Track bottlenecks, system dependencies, and compliance risks related to NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) or banking regulations. Software Development & Technical Oversight Oversee architecture: Guide backend development for high-throughput, low-latency transaction processing systems. Ensure code quality: Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards for secure payment APIs. Solve technical blockers: Hands-on troubleshooting for system failures, database bottlenecks, or RFID/toll-plaza integration errors. Stake holder & Cross-Functional Collaboration Liaise with partners: Coordinate with external vendors, highway authorities, and banking partners. Report progress: Update senior leadership on system uptime, transaction success rates, and milestone delivery. Requirements & Qualifications Education & Experience Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Experience: 5+ years in software development, with at least 2 years in a project management or tech lead role. Domain knowledge: Prior experience in fintech, payment gateways, or high-volume transaction systems is preferred. Technical Skills Languages: Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#. Cloud & DevOps: Working knowledge of AWS or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Databases: Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases for real-time data processing. Soft Skills Communication: Clear verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical teams. Leadership: Ability to motivate and mentor developers in high-pressure environments.
