Responsibilities
Own Micro-Content Sprints: Conceptualize, produce, and schedule platform-native content (Reels, TikToks, Carousels, Stories, Shorts) aligned to cultural moments, brand pillars, and performance goals—testing hooks, formats, and CTAs weekly.
Build Community, Not Just Followers: Foster authentic two-way conversations in comments, DMs, and niche communities; identify brand advocates, moderate with empathy, and turn engagement into loyalty loops.
Decode the Algorithm (Ethically): Track platform updates, engagement patterns, and audience behavior to refine posting strategies—without relying on vanity metrics or growth hacks that compromise trust.
Collaborate with Creators & UGC: Source, brief, and co-create with micro-influencers and everyday fans; manage lightweight contracts, track ROI, and ensure brand safety while amplifying authentic voices.
Social Listening → Actionable Insights: Use tools to monitor sentiment, trending audio, competitor moves, and emerging subcultures; translate findings into content briefs, product feedback, or crisis preemption plans.
Support Social Commerce Flows: Assist in setting up shoppable posts, live-stream promotions, or in-app checkout experiments—tracking conversion paths and optimizing for frictionless discovery-to-purchase.
Document the Playbook: Capture winning formulas, failed tests, and platform-specific best practices in a living social wiki to accelerate team learning and onboarding.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Psychology, or a self-directed path with demonstrable social growth projects.
Platform Fluency > Platform Presence: You understand why content works on TikTok vs. LinkedIn vs. BeReal—not just how to post. Bonus if you've grown a personal/account project organically (1K+ engaged followers is a strong signal).
Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following: CapCut/Canva/Descript for editing, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Creator Tools, Later/Buffer, Sprout Social, or AI-assisted ideation/caption tools.
Basic grasp of social analytics: you can interpret reach, saves, shares, and conversion metrics—not just likes—and connect them to business objectives.
Cultural curiosity + ethical compass: you spot trends early but ask, "Should we jump on this?" before "Can we?" You respect copyright, disclosure rules (#ad), and inclusive representation.
Agile mindset: comfortable iterating fast, embracing feedback, and pivoting when a format flops. You document learnings, not just outputs.
Bonus Points: Experience with live streaming, community moderation, meme literacy, accessibility practices (alt-text, captions), or basic paid social support (audience building, A/B ad copy).
