Description: Recover overdue payments from customers in the field, maintain accurate records of collections activity, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Locate customers with overdue payments: Track and locate customers with outstanding debts using various methods, including phone calls, skip tracing databases, and field visits.
Negotiate payment arrangements: Contact customers to discuss their overdue accounts and negotiate mutually agreeable payment plans.
Collect payments: Receive payments from customers in person, via mail, or through electronic methods.
Maintain accurate records: Document all collection activities, including customer interactions, payment agreements, and legal actions taken.
Ensure compliance: Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to debt collection practices.
Provide customer service: Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints related to their accounts.
Build relationships: Establish professional relationships with customers to facilitate positive communication and successful debt resolution.
Report to management: Regularly update management on collection progress and any challenges encountered.
Collaborate with other departments: Work with other departments, such as legal and customer service, to resolve complex cases.
Stay updated on industry best practices: Continuously improve knowledge of debt collection techniques, regulations, and best practices.
