Mechanical Transformer Designer Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Job Type: Full-time | Work from Office Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹38,000 per month Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Transformer Designer to design and develop mechanical components for Power and Distribution Transformers. The ideal candidate should have experience in transformer mechanical design, CAD software, and manufacturing drawings while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities Design transformer components such as tanks, covers, radiators, conservators, clamps, frames, and terminal arrangements. Prepare 2D & 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar CAD software. Create manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM). Ensure designs comply with IEC, IS, IEEE, and customer specifications. Coordinate with electrical design, production, quality, procurement, and manufacturing teams. Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance. Resolve design issues during manufacturing and testing. Support prototype development and engineering changes. Eligibility Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 2–8 years of on-paper experience in Mechanical Design of Power or Distribution Transformers. Candidates must be able to provide experience letters and employment documents. Required Skills Mechanical Design of Power & Distribution Transformers AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or equivalent CAD software Transformer Construction & Fabrication Sheet Metal Design & Welding GD&T and Engineering Drawing Standards BOM Preparation Manufacturing & Production Coordination Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Skills Knowledge of ERP/SAP or PLM systems. Familiarity with FEA is an added advantage. Experience in cost optimization and value engineering.
