Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations and the setup of the India manufacturing facility. The role will focus on manufacturing process development, CNC machining, tooling, production efficiency, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in CNC machining, CAD/CAM, manufacturing processes, tooling, and engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for machined components.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings.
Review engineering drawings and identify suitable machining methods, tooling, and processes.
Develop CNC programs and support machining operations.
Work with CNC machines including turning, milling, boring, honing, and related processes.
Select and develop appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, jigs, and other tooling.
Conduct feasibility, time, and cost studies to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Identify production bottlenecks and support line balancing and process improvements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on the shop floor.
Monitor tooling and equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Coordinate with suppliers for tooling, machining services, and other manufacturing requirements.
Evaluate supplier performance, quality, cost, and delivery.
Work with Production, Quality, QHSE, Maintenance, Operations, and other teams.
Support quality improvement, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Maintain manufacturing, tooling, and process-related documentation.
Support ERP/MRP and SAP-related manufacturing processes.
Assist with installation and commissioning of plant machinery and equipment.
Support the implementation of manufacturing processes for the new India facility.
Train production personnel on machining processes, tooling, and setup procedures.
Monitor manufacturing KPIs related to productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.
Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
5–10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a similar role.
Strong hands-on knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
Experience with CNC turning, milling, boring, grinding, honing, or similar processes.
Good knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, NX, Mastercam, EdgeCAM, or similar.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience in CNC programming and machining process development.
Good understanding of tooling, fixtures, jigs, and cutting tools.
Knowledge of manufacturing cost analysis and process optimization.
Experience with ERP/MRP or SAP systems will be an advantage.
Good communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Preferred Experience
Experience in precision machining, oil & gas equipment, heavy engineering, automotive, aerospace, defence, marine, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
