In this role, you will provide exceptional service and maintenance support for our air compressor systems. You will ensure that compressors are installed, maintained, and repaired under company standards and customer requirements. As a Service Engineer, you will be key in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing efficient solutions to technical challenges. Key Responsibilities: • On-site service: Regularly visit customer locations to perform scheduled maintenance on air compressors, including inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and pressure adjustments. • Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose and fix malfunctions on air compressors, including electrical issues, mechanical breakdowns, and pneumatic problems. • Installation and commissioning: Install new air compressor systems at customer sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality according to manufacturer guidelines. • Customer interaction: Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding their air compressor systems, addressing concerns and questions. • Preventative maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of air compressors. • Reporting and documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repair details, parts used, and customer feedback on service work orders. • Safety compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Required Skills and Qualifications: • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of air compressor systems, including reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal compressor technologies, their components, and operating principles. • Mechanical aptitude: Ability to diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, and use hand tools effectively. • Electrical knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical faults related to air compressors. • Customer service skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, explain technical concepts, and build positive relationships. • Problem-solving abilities: Ability to analyse complex issues, troubleshoot effectively, and identify solutions to resolve equipment problems. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Service Engineer in the compressor or related industry. • Hands-on experience with air compressor systems (installation, troubleshooting, and repairs). • Strong technical and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience in servicing air compressors or similar industrial equipment. • Certification in electrical or mechanical engineering is a plus. .
